Frank Vandenbroucke

Frank Vandenbroucke was perhaps the greatest talent cycling has ever seen. His victory in Liège-Bastogne-Liège in 1999, solo after a phenomenal attack on La Redoute, was of a rare class. VDB, as he was affectionately known, lived hard and rode harder — a tragic yet beautiful story that cycling will never forget.
